Sending money around the world is an integral part of our global ecosystem these days. Many people use online payment services to do so, with Paypal being a clear market leader. But things could be taken to a whole new level, as Dash Evolution goes to show. At its core, this project makes Dash easier to use than any other cryptocurrency in existence today, including Bitcoin.
What Is Dash Evolution Exactly?
One thing people need to keep in mind is how inconvenient cryptocurrency is to use. For enthusiasts, it is very straightforward to use, but the average person on the street will face significant difficulties. Moreover, using a currency such as bitcoin does not seem to make a lot of sense to most people right now.
Dash Evolution wants to make it more convenient to use cryptocurrency. Additionally, the developers designed this project in such a way it adds more security and scalability. To facilitate all of this, the Dash developers created the world’s first decentralized API back in 2015. Up until this point, all API requests in existence run through centralized platforms, which is not the best way to go.
Dash Evolution does things differently, as this particularly API combines top-notch security with decentralization. Users can interact with the Dash network without having to download software or get used to a complicated wallet service. Nor will they need to wait for the entire blockchain to download and synchronize with the network. In doing so, Dash Evolution removes a lot of friction associated with cryptocurrency in general.
That being said, the ultimate goal is to make Dash Evolution compete with PayPal. The online payment processor gained mainstream traction as it is a convenient solution to transfer value. However, the company is still in charge of customer funds, and they can freeze accounts on a whim’s notice. This is the downfall of using centralized services, regardless of how popular they may be.
More importantly, Dash Evolution feels they can remove the fees from the equation as well. Cryptocurrency has always been a cheaper option compared to PayPal. By adding more user-friendliness to the Dash ecosystem, Evolution could become a serious contender to send money around the world. With no centralization and high fees, Dash Evolution can give PayPal a run for its money.
It will take quite a bit of time until Dash Evolution will come to fruition, though. A first iteration of the platform is expected to be released in 2017, and will provide scalability of up to hundreds of thousands of transactions per second. This entire solution is open source, and more information can be found on the official website.
